Thanks for the comment. That's awesome that he played Mariposa. I would have been thrilled to see him at home. I've seen him a couple of other times at Massey Hall. MH is really his home away from home eh?

Your lightfoot venue was at least dry. Gordon Lightfoot was the closer for this year's Mariposa Folk Festival. The weather was fantastic for the whole weekend until Gordie started to play. Then the sky opened up with a tremendous thunderstorm. He played on for about 30 min but the long rumored "surprise visit" from Bob Dylan never happened because of the rain.

Ya, that place can't be fun for a pregnant woman. I imagine elderly people probably don't have a blast climbing up to the noise bleeds either.

Ya Alex, that photo was our view from our seats. Of course I was there to HEAR Gordie, but still, it would have been nice to install some sort of video screen.

Was it the Jackson Auditorium?
I've not been back to TPAC since we had season tickets to the Broadway series there a few years ago-- while my wife was pregnant with our second child.
Let me tell you-- there's nothing like getting perfect seats, center in the tier-- PERFECT.. and then realize taht your poor pregnant wife is going to need to get to the restroom several times over the next few hours... and there's no middle aisle.
My wife was a trooper.. but after the first show, we changed our season tickets to some seats a little closer to the aisle.

Absolutely, on all counts. If that pic is from your seats, you *were* up there.

I was down in the "Orchestra" section and the sound was still poor. We had our share of drunken karaoke singers, too.

At least the lighting was good. And of course, seeing a legend like Gordon is great.
