Good point Bernie. When I lived in Ireland I used my mobile for texting more than speaking. The fact that texting there is free most of the time is "the" reason why Jaiku will beat out Twitter there. Especially, once they introduce dodgeball.

I've heard horror stories on this side of the pond about Tweet/txt msgs adding up to hundreds of US dollars. Yikes!

You pitch your socnet tent where you find most of your friends but you follow the flow when your tent starts to leak. I'm once-a-day on Twitter, then I read what Google Reader scrapes from friends of friends. But I'm always-on with a Jaiku text flow coming directly to my phone. It's like USENET in my pocket and at the moment, it's exceptionally high-signal, low noise.

Thanks Bernie: I just joined. Still, I do think you'll find me in Twitter far more often than Jaiku. You never know though...
