Dave Delaney : Dave Made That: How Not To Get Locked Out Of Twitter

How/why do you use so many Twitter clients at once? I can barely keep up with Tweetdeck on the computer and twitterific on the iPhone.

I use Tweetdeck for work @griffintech and DestroyTwitter for my
    personal Twitter client.

I do this partly to avoid tweeting from the incorrect account.

Once somebody creates a Twitter client and app that shares custom
groups and searches they will have my business.

I was testing the latest installs of Seesmic and Tweetie, but haven't
    found the perfect solution yet.

Interesting. Any idea whether Twitter takes IPs into account or they're just going for the simple number of logins in x time? I ask this as I have the idea Tweetie is mostly used in iPhones, so a trigger might have been logins attempts from different machines with different IPs?

Good question. I'm guessing login attempts, though I can't be sure.

Can a DOS attack be launched by multiple logins?

If you change your password in twitter but forget to also change it for example in tweetdeck, tweetdeck will ping twitter login constantly with the old wrong password. Twitter thinks it's a bot trying to get access & will block your account.
