Hey Dave, very cool.

I tried Ampache a few months ago and opentape looks similar (based on a cursory analysis, anyway), though opentape's UI is nicer.

Ampache also supports "chaining together" multiple instances using XML-RPC, so you can share playlists and libraries with other friends who've installed the app on their server. No scrobbling features that I can detect, though.

When I needed short songs to add to the end of a side of a mix tape, I always turned to the Residents Commercial Album. It always freaked people out to go from most anything to one of those songs.
