This is great - and I'm also wondering if there is something similar to Donor's Choose (especially as a fundraising graphic/tool/widget like you have posted) for other non-profit organizations? Are you aware of any?

I would recommend ChipIn, it worked well. I also came across this one
    recently:

Love this...I am trying something similar...using social media to help a great cause...in my case its Susan Komen for the Cure...this is the next wave of charity/ not for profit...exciting times.

Best of luck. Let me know if you need any help. Cheers.

Awesome! Hey, I just won a shopping spree from bill me later - and I'm paying it forward. Is there $50 worth of supplies I could purchase and send to this group? Do you have a direct contact? Let me know @kanter on twitter
  • Dave Delaney · 1 year ago
Thanks Beth. DonorsChoose don't say exactly who the teacher is or which
school, so there's no way to contact them directly. Perhaps contacting
DonorsChoose.org directly would be the best approach. You could also use it
to purchase non-perishable food items then drop them off at your local food
    bank or fire station.

Thanks again for reaching out and supporting me on this. Great to hear from
    you.

    Cheers,
    Dave

Thanks for taking the initiative on this, Dave. We all need to step up to the plate like this and make sure that when we get together as a digital community that we're not just yapping about the future, but doing direct things to support it as well!
