Sounds like fun. If only I lived there.

You can always start your own. Where are you?

You can always use MeetUp to organize your own meetings and events.

Have you considered http://www.pingg.com/ ? I don't think it handles recurring events much better than Eventbrite or Facebook, but it does allow participants to RSVP without having to register for an account and it does integrate with Twitter and Facebook.

Also, if you mainly want recurring events, why not Meetup? Doesn't it do those decently?

Good idea, but I would prefer to keep it as one of the other. I don't want
to have to introduce yet another way to RSVP. What experiences do you have
with pingg? I've never used it. Any good?

    Thanks.

I recently received an invite via pinng and that's the first I've heard of it. Looks pretty full-featured, though.

Just wanted to say thank you for organizing these for us each week. We all really appreciate it. :)

Hey thanks Lizzie. It's my pleasure. It's always nice to get the folks out
to connect over fatty foods and caffeine :-)

I hope you're doing well. Will we see you next time?

    Cheers,
    Dave

Is the Geek Breakfast done in the format similar to BNI?
  • Dave Delaney · 11 months ago
    BNI?

BNI stands for Business Network International. They run the meetings in a systematic way where all participants are given 30 seconds to stand up to introduce themselves and their field of expertise. Something like that.
