Dave, this is a great idea. I'd like to get the Geek Social on the calendar as a reoccurring event, but it might not be straight forward because we occasionally, like once a quarter, change venue from the Flying Saucer to the First Center. I'm happy to maintain our event on the calendar if that helps.

Thanks Eric. What's great is that you can import this to your Gmail calendar
or iCal. You can also subscribe to it via RSS and subscribe to email updates
if you prefer. I don't think you can miss any event in this town, as long as
everyone uses this. That's the key part.

I agree - if it's used frequently and by a large group it will be very useful. I don't often log into Digital Nashville and (gasp) don't often read through the event emails so something simple and wikified might be worth a shot.
