Because with this so much schedules life and plans it very hard to take time out to write a separate email, and its easy to tweet someone of update your face book status on the go. Besides the business aspects these sites also work this way. I once planned to manage something of my own like a network site but that was too difficult to manage so I reverted back to already established networks.

Re: What happened to your old office buddy? I'm a big fan of LinkedIn too. It's
hilarious that I'm getting "Joe Blow has accepted your LinkedIn
invitation..." messages from people I sent them to years ago. Nice to see
people are finally catching on, eh?

You can find me there, here: http://www.linkedin/in/davedelaney

Cheers.
Dave

Re: What happened to your old office buddy? I'm connected no only to current co-workers, but I've been adding a lot of old co-workers too. Since I changed company 9 years ago, it's a stretch to find people, but LinkedIn is really helping. Man, i sound like a spokeswoman, but you might find someone on there...
